Some fulfillment news.

TL;DR: Shipments are complete for all regions except North America, but that's only because we can't teleport things yet.

ITALY
  • ✅ COMPLETE. Please refer to the Italian part of the update.

REST OF EUROPEAN UNION
  • ✅ COMPLETE. We're willing to fix potential problems if at all possible, so contact me at [email protected].

NORTH AMERICA
  • 🚚 IN PROGRESS. The goods have been picked up from our warehouse and will be loaded on the vessel CMA CGM La Traviata on April 21st. After that date you'll be able to track the ship FROM HERE. It should arrive in Chicago after 28 days, around May 20th. I'll know better after the ship leaves, but considering customs, transportation to the hub, and the final leg of the shipment, I think it's safe to say you'll get the books in June. I had hoped it would be faster, but these are the technical times for worldwide shipping, and we can't make them any faster without charging 2-3 times the shipping cost. Anyway, they're coming!

UK + REST OF THE WORLD
  • ✅ COMPLETE. All packages were sent out about two weeks ago. By now, depending on where you live, you should have either received it or be able to track where it is. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected]. Note: If you live in Australia, you may receive two separate smaller packages instead of a big one, but all your stuff will be there.

Hello Survivors, 

This is a fulfillment update. 
Please keep in mind that logistics is difficult (we’d rather make games, really), we have several regions to fulfill, each with different complexity, and we can only pick two ways of doing things from this list of three: fast, well, affordable. 

With that premise, this is where we are:

ITALY

Please refer to the Italian part of the update.

REST OF EUROPEAN UNION

COMPLETE. All packages have already been delivered or are on their way to you. You can see the first pictures posted by some happy backers on our Discord server. There is one single address we had problems with (it turns out that some areas are so new that the shipping software doesn't take them into account), but we don't expect any real problems. There are always the good old post offices that know how to do things manually.

NORTH AMERICA

We were waiting for confirmation from the carrier, who was waiting for new ocean freight rates. This confirmation has now arrived and we are finally scheduled for a pick-up. The sea voyage will take 28 days, to which must be added the transport time from the warehouse to the port and from the port through customs and to the hub, plus loading and unloading times. The hub is ready to go as soon as they receive the goods. I'll have more details in two to three weeks. 

UK + REST OF THE WORLD

Our partner Zatu received the goods today and we expect to complete the remaining bureaucracy this week. Ever the optimist, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that things will be on their way to their various destinations starting next week. Stay tuned for tracking numbers.

Hello Survivors, 
This is a super quick update. I made a video with an overview of all the printed books and accessories. I call it "unboxing", even though I couldn't resist and had to take a look inside before recording, but I'm sure you'll forgive me (I also had to remove the download codes, which are a pain to edit out later).



Last but not least, a few EU parcels are leaving today as part of a bulk shipping trial, most will leave next week. We're also making good progress with the other regions, but it's mostly getting the bureaucracy sorted out, so nothing really exciting yet.

Salve sopravvissuti!
Aggiornamento super rapido: ho realizzato un video con una panoramica di tutti i libri stampati e degli accessori. L'ho chiamato "unboxing", anche se non ho resistito e ho dovuto dare un'occhiata prima di registrare, ma sono sicuro che mi perdonerete (ho anche dovuto rimuovere i codici di download, che sono complessi da rimuovere in seguito durante l’editing).

Infine, alcuni pacchi per l’UE sono partiti oggi come parte di una prova di spedizione “bulk”, la maggior parte partirà la prossima settimana, questo nelle intenzioni include anche l’Italia, anche se visti i numeri potremmo dover fare delle “ondate”. Stiamo facendo buoni progressi anche con le altre regioni, ma si tratta per lo più di sistemare la burocrazia, quindi non c'è ancora nulla di entusiasmante da comunicare.

Hello Survivors, 
The fulfillment machine is in motion. Let's see what that means in practice.

TL;DR: Shipments for North America and UK + ROTW are prepared. EU + Italy will be prepared this week. Read more about timelines in the full update. 

FULFILLMENT HAS STARTED

The process of sending books, screens, dice and other accessories to the four corners of the world has begun. We organize shipments in 4 macro regions:

NORTH AMERICA
This region includes the United States and Canada. The pallet with all the physical rewards has been prepared and we now need to arrange a pick-up time with the freight forwarder. Everything is then loaded onto a giant ship. Once in the U.S., all of the packages are prepared and shipped from the eFulfillment hub in Michigan to the final destination. There are many steps involved, so I can't say exactly when things will be in your hands, but based on past experience we are looking at 45-60 days. I will post a more detailed timeline as soon as I have a better estimate.

The process is now as follows:
  1. Pallet pickup from our warehouse (we are here)
  2. Load everything onto a boat. Long sea voyage.
  3. Arrival in the USA, customs clearance.
  4. Transportation to Michigan. 
  5. Final packages are assembled and sent to your home.   


EU + ITALY
We don't use a hub to prepare these packages and we do them one by one by hand. Work on this segment will begin this week. We'll probably be sending things out in batches, so sit back and relax, and when your package is on its way, you'll get a tracking number from the courier. I believe work will be completed within the next 3-4 weeks, possibly sooner.

UK + REST OF THE WORLD
These shipments include everything going to any other place on the planet and will go through our partner Zatu in the UK first. The pallet is ready and we need to arrange a pick-up with a freight forwarder. It doesn't take long to get the stuff to the UK, but sorting it is another matter. Depending on the bureaucracy in your particular country, it can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. This is especially true if you live in Australia or New Zealand. I'll have better estimates once the books are in the hub.

The process is now as follows:
  1. Pallet pickup from our warehouse (we are here)
  2. Transportation to the UK.
  3. Arrival in the UK, customs clearance.
  4. Transportation to Norwich. 
  5. Final packages are assembled and sent to your home almost in real time.   


I'm still waiting for my personal delivery of books (I don't live near our warehouse) and will do a nice unboxing when I get them later this week.


ACTUAL PLAY, PART 1

Kritfayle has put together a 3-part Actual Play of Dead Air: Seasons, and here is the first Session of "The Price of Living".  The three parts come in short, easy to watch Sessions, so if you want to get an idea of the kind of stories you can tell with the game, take a look.





THE DEAD AIR: SEASONS SUBREDDIT

One successful resource we have for Broken Tales is a subreddit where fans of the game can post their homemade material. There was no reason not to do the same for Dead Air: Seasons, as the game lends itself to documenting an incredible variety of situations and stories, depending on where you decide to set your stories. Read the rules for posting and check out the material already added by myself and community member Shivgorothar based on the game played on our Discord server.

CONSEGNE

Tutti i pacchi per l’Unione Europea e l'Italia sono fatti uno per uno a mano da noi. Il lavoro su questo segmento di backer inizierà questa settimana. E’ probabile che le spedizioni avvengano a scaglioni, quindi sedetevi e rilassatevi, e quando il vostro pacchetto sarà in arrivo, riceverete un numero di tracciamento dal corriere. L’idea è di completare il lavoro entro le prossime 3-4 settimane, anche prima se ci riusciamo.

NORD AMERICA

Una risorsa per Broken Tales che ha ottenuto un certo successo è un subreddit dove i fan del gioco possono pubblicare il loro materiale fatto in casa (in inglese). Non c'era motivo di non fare lo stesso per Dead Air: Seasons, poiché il gioco si presta a documentare un'incredibile varietà di situazioni e storie, a seconda di dove si decide di ambientare le proprie avventure. We have a lot of new things to discuss today. Let's get started!

PRINTED STUFF PREVIEW


We have received some videos of the printed books and accessories from the printer. Everything looks great, don't you think?




We will receive the entire shipment of books (Italian + English) on March 19th. It will take us a few days to start the fulfillment process as we have 4 regions to cover (Italy, EU, North America and UK + Rest of the World). Each is fulfilled in a different way and we're working with 5 different partners to get the stuff in your hands. There's a lot of bureaucracy involved, but rest assured, we're close.

In future updates, we will provide estimated travel and delivery times for each region.

NEW UPCOMING PROJECT - VALRAVEN


We are happy to announce our next project on Backerkit Crowdfunding, Valraven: The Chronicles of Blood and Iron. Valraven is a dark fantasy TTRPG inspired by Kentaro Miura's Berserk, G.R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, and Dragon Age written by ENNIE-nominated author Alberto Tronchi.

It has been one of the most requested titles from our Italian-only portfolio for years, and we will take this opportunity to offer a deluxe English edition updated with all the latest developments of the Monad Echo system.

Oggi ci sono molte novità da discutere. Iniziamo!

TL;DR: Abbiamo una anteprima video dei volumi, una panoramica sulla creazione dei personaggi (in inglese, si veda update sopra) e due annunci - Valraven: The Chronicles of Blood and Iron (edizione inglese, presto su Backerkit Crowdfunding) e Ruin (scaricabile gratuitamente).


ANTEPRIMA DELLE STAMPE


Abbiamo ricevuto dalla tipografia alcuni video dei libri stampati e degli accessori. Che ne pensate?





Riceveremo l'intera spedizione di libri (italiano + inglese) il 19 marzo. Ci vorranno alcuni giorni per iniziare il processo di evasione, poiché abbiamo 4 regioni da coprire (Italia, UE, Nord America e Regno Unito + Resto del mondo). Ognuna di queste tranche di spedizione avviene con modalità diverse e stiamo collaborando con 5 diversi partner logistici per far arrivare il materiale nelle vostre mani. C'è molta burocrazia da sbrigare, ma state tranquilli, ci siamo vicini.

Nei prossimi aggiornamenti, forniremo una stima dei tempi di consegna, anche se senza dubbio i backer italiani saranno i primi a ricevere il materiale.  


NUOVO PROGETTO - L’EDIZIONE INGLESE DI VALRAVEN


Siamo felici di annunciare il nostro prossimo progetto su Backerkit Crowdfunding, l’edizione inglese di Valraven, ovvero Valraven: The Chronicles of Blood and Iron. Valraven è un TTRPG dark fantasy ispirato a Berserk di Kentaro Miura, A Song of Ice and Fire di G.R.R. Martin e Dragon Age, scritto da Alberto Tronchi, autore con alle spalle due nomination agli ENNIEs.

Da anni è uno dei titoli più richiesti per la traduzione, e cogliamo questa occasione per offrire un'edizione inglese deluxe aggiornata con tutti gli ultimi sviluppi del sistema Monad Echo.
